SENATOR KAITA COMMISERATES WITH TRADERS AFFECTED BY THE KATSINA CENTRAL MARKET INFERNO

Senator Ahmad Babba Kaita representing Katsina North, has commiserated with the shop owners affected by the unfortunate fire incident at the Katsina state Central market.

The chairman Senate Committee on TETFUND and Tertiary Institutions stated that the fire disaster is a huge loss not only to the affected traders but the state at large,  considering the large scale economic activities which takes place at the market.

In a statement, Senator Kaita describes the situation as another set-back to the state at a time when indigenes of the state in the Federal Capital Territory, were still counting their loss from the fire outbreak that gutted the Gwarimpa Tipper Garage Market which claimed a life and destruction of properties worth millions of Naira.

According to him "Regrettably, many shops were again affected and properties destroyed by the unfortunate inferno at the state central market but thankfully, there was no loss of life" he said.

The 'borderless' senator while urging people of the state to continue to take necessary precautions to prevent future re-ocurrence, will be visiting the market soon to have an on the spot assessment of the situation with a view to rallying major stakeholders both within and outside the state to lessen the burden on the traders.
