Sen. Ahmad Babba Kaita (Katsina North/Daura Zone) today visit Katsina Central Market and commiserate with the market union following the inferno that ravaged the area last Monday. In addition, he donated N20million to the victims of Katsina Central Market inferno.
Distinguished Senator Ahmad Babba Kaita representing Katsina North has donated the sum of twenty million Naira (N20m) to the Katsina State Central Market Traders Association as his contribution to assist the victims of last week inferno at the market.
Senator Babba Kaita made the donation during a visit to the central market where he sympathize with the victims of the unfortunate fire outbreak which gutted the Market and destroyed goods and properties worth millions of Naira.
Kaita's visit became necessary to have an on the spot assessment of the situation and to ascertain the level of destruction caused by the inferno. Kaita who expressed shock over the incident asked them to have faith to the will of God, and said, only Him can replace all they loss to inferno.
He advised the traders to always adhere strictly to safety regulations in all places to avoid a future recurrence at the market.
In a remark, the Chairman of the Association Malam Labaran Alibaba thanked Senator Kaita for the visit for an on the spot assessment and gave an assurance that his contribution will go a long way in alleviating their plight.
