Without consulting any particular school of thought or institutional framework of opinion, politics is about the welfare of the people, balancing socio-economic isolationism, social inclusion and popular participation. It is about the extent to which its players are able to banish poverty, illiteracy, and diseases among the citizenry. It is also about being sympathetic to the woos and cries of the people and proffering solutions to such issues.
The most Distinguished Senator Ahmad Babba Kaita, as a social science student, understands these issues and tackles them head on. As a charismatic leader that he is, enjoys the support of the majority of the people he represents at the Senate. His level of intellectuality, passion, and compassion towards the plight of his constituents is exceptional. He is one politician with a healthy dose of the milk of human kindness.
Through his gigantic accomplishments in the area of project execution, he has forced into allotted beds all those politicians who keep reinventing themselves to gain relevance in the eyes of the electorates, but who, ironically failed in their responsibility to raise the standard of living of their people.
