The Hausa saying 'Da akwai a garinsu kara garinmu' can never be more truer.
Our ever positive minded Senator Ahmed Babba Kaita has just struck another one (even b4 his official induction into the Red Chamber). The Senator has worked out a financing/sponsorship plan for a Kankia based private investment company, Global Investments Ltd, to establish an ultra modern Rice Mill in Madawa Region of neighbouring Niger Republic.
The project, a private public partnership will enable Global Investments ltd build, own and operate (BOO) an ultra modern rice mill in the rice producing areas of Konduge, Magarya, Nakone and Sabon Gida all in Madawa Region of Niger Republic.
Under the partnership with the government of Niger Republic, Global Investments ltd will be the sole owners and operators of the Mill, with the government providing the necessary encouragements, concessions and other support.
The Senator, who appreciates private initiative as alternative source of employment, undertakes to soft-finance the procurement of the necessary machineries on behalf of the private investors.
One might ask, of what benefits is the sponsorship of the Mill to Kankia? The answer is thus:
Global Investments ltd will provide all management and senior staff of the Mill (managers, engineers, marketers) and 50% of unskilled personnel. Kankia, the Senator's immediate constituency, will therefore have the opportunity to provide the above required personnel.
That is the joy and aspirations of Senator Ahmed Babba Kaita (SABK).
This means provision of gainful employment opportunities to engineers, marketers, human resource managers of Kankia origin as well as supporting/financing the entrepreneurial initiative of the Kankia investors who own Global Investments ltd.
I bring this information to this platform so ALL Kankia loving people will join me in hailing our formidable Senator Ahmed Babba Kaita.
