Madawaki is a patriotic Nigerian and a dogged fighter whose contributions to national development were immeasurable. The impact of Senator Madawaki cannot be under estimated in the politics of Katsina and the entire country and apparently, his role and contributions in the development of the country. He would be greatly missed by many including, family, the All Progressive Congress (APC), the Senate, Katsina State and the Federal Republic of Nigeria. May almighty Allah forgive his sins, grant him the highest place in Jannah and give Sabr to his family.
Now that Sen. Madawaki has gone, we need to think critically in selecting the right candidate to replace our late performing senator so that we may continue to taste the aroma of democracy. The peoples of Katsina North Senatorial District have benefitted immensely from the administration of All Progressive Congress (APC) specifically under the senatorship of late Madawaki.
On the other hand, Hon. Ahmad Babba Kaita as a Member House of Representatives, Kankia/Ingawa/Kusada Federal Constituency from 2011 - present has significantly played an important role in the discharge of legislative duties and contributed immensely toward the development of his constituency and the state in general. As a good Representative, he had to be top lion, and drove himself to become Committee Chairman. He turned a post with limited influence into one of the position in the House, from which he contributed to the passage of significant laws affecting Labour , Housing, Civil Rights, Defense, Local Government Autonomy, Small and Medium Enterprise, Science and Technology, Agriculture, Education, Maritime, Aviation etc.

*A Bill to establish "Nigerian Agricultural Associations".
*A bill to establish "The Fisheries Society of Nigeria".

*A Bill for an act to repeal the National Housing Fund Act and establish the National Housing Trust Fund Act cap N 45 (HB. 891).
*A Bill for an act to repeal the Federal Mortgage Bank of Nigeria Act, cap. F16 (HB. 911).
*A Bill for an act to establish the Institute of Mortgage Brokers and Lenders of Nigeria (HB. 465).
*A Motion to ensure full compliance with the National Housing Fund Act (HR. 59/2017).
In addition, Ahmad Babba Kaita's neediness translated into a number of traits that has a large impact on his political actions. He had a compulsion to be the best, to outdo everybody, to eclipse all his predecessors in the National Assembly and become the greatest Member, House of Representatives in Kankia/Kusada/Ingawa Constituency history. As many peoples says, Ahmad Babba Kaita "wanted to set world records in politics, as a star athlete would in sports.
To summarise it all, Hon. Kaita should be the right candidate to be given the mantle of leadership to represent the good people of Katsina North Senatorial District in the red chamber having met all the requirements as enshrined in the constitution of All Progressive Congress (APC) and that of the Federal Republic of Nigeria; and I am appealing to all the authorities concerned to look into my prayer and kindly nominate Hon.
