Distinguished Senator Ahmad Babba Kaita Katsina North Senatorial District heartily Congratulate Nigerians and the good people of Katsina on the occasion of 59th anniversary of the country.
In a statement, the Distinguished Senator says certainly, the nations independence Anniversary calls for celebration by all in view of the joy Nigerians experienced when the nations founding fathers took their destiny into their own hands to secure the country's freedom on the 1st of october, 1960.
Senator Babba- Kaita maintains that having come this far inspite of the enormous challenges is a pointer that, there is a greater prospect for the country and her citizens.
"It gladens my heart to witness this day. It's a great and most important day for all Nigerians. We celebrate the day with enthusiasm and euphoria year in year out".
According to Senator Babba-Kaita "59 years of nationhood is of utmost importance to all of us as it give us the opportunity to reflect, remember and appreciate our fallen heroes and founding fathers who sacrificed their wealth, time, energy and some even paid the ultimate price to give us an enduring peaceful life we are enjoying. We are hugely indebted to them for these sacrifices"
He adds that "this year's Independence Day theme Unlocking the Potential of Youths is apt and timely. The APC led administration places high premium on Youth Development and it's very much determine to move Nigerians to the next level where there's opportunity for all. I firmly believe that there's hope for the Nigerian Youth. No doubt, Youths empowerment and general development are so dear to the heart of President Muhammadu Buhari, his Programs and policies such as National Social Investment Programs (NSIP) is touching the lives of Nigerians youth in particular, in many positive ways"
The Daura zone Senator also applauds the effort of the Governor of Katsina State, His Excellency Gov Aminu Bello Masari in the area of security- Dialogue with Bandits and kidnappers, noting that his tireless efforts in this regard are yielding positive results.
Senator Babba-Kaita humbly urges his Constituents to at all times have respect for constituted authority, advising that, the nation is governed by the rule of law and people must ensure they dont take law into their hands, but be vigilant and report any suspicious persons or movement to the security agencies.
